A student hub that pulls data from the e-gradebook and Google Classroom, syncs deadlines to Google Calendar and answers questions through an AI assistant.

Problem

A student checks grades and substitutions in the e-gradebook, assignments in Classroom, and writes deadlines down somewhere else. Information is scattered and it is easy to miss something.

Solution

A TypeScript monorepo with a NestJS API and a Next.js app. Integrations fetch grades, timetable, substitutions and assignments, deadlines go to the calendar, and the AI assistant works on student data isolated by PostgreSQL row-level security.

What is technically interesting

  • PostgreSQL row-level security: the database will not return another student’s data to the AI assistant, even if a query is wrong
