School Currency

A school digital currency with rewards, project “salaries”, a tax and a shop — used for a full year.

A school's internal economy: students earn currency for activity and projects, transfer it to each other with QR codes and spend it in the school shop and on a marketplace.

Problem

The school wanted to reward engagement in a way students would actually feel, and to teach basic economics along the way.

Solution

A Django app with Google sign-in, wallets, transfers with a 5% tax, payouts for projects, coupons, a shop and a student-to-student marketplace.
